Disney’s Story app helps users turn their photos and videos on their mobile device into stories they can personalize, save, and then share through popular social outlets. Disney makes the storytelling effortless and provides themes ranging from The Little Mermaid, to Cars, to ESPN, and of course Mickey, plus many more.
As a member of the software engineering team, I was the lead for all HTML and CSS of the product’s web component, closely collaborating with other engineers and an off-site design team. My core responsibility was translating Photoshop screens of desktop layouts into fully responsive web layouts for multiple devices and orientations. I also contributed in areas such as designing and building the bones for the new custom commenting section, streamlining much of the existing HTML and CSS for lighter and better functioning code, and overall evangelizing visual standards of the app and site.
The Story.us site was disabled in September of 2014.
